Our Mission

Every Massachusetts Family Deserves Expert Dementia Care at Home

Honor Home Care was founded in 2013 by Mariam Namuleme, a dementia specialist caregiver who spent years working directly with families living through Alzheimer's and dementia. She saw what families actually needed — and what the home care industry wasn't providing.

What started as one caregiver's mission has grown into a team of 10+ specialist caregivers, all trained in our proprietary 80-hour dementia certification program and supervised by experienced clinicians.

“I started this because I knew what families were going through. Every person with dementia deserves a caregiver who truly understands them — not just someone filling a shift.”

Our Journey

Our Journey in Care

2013

Honor Home Care was founded in Waltham, MA by Mariam Namuleme — a dementia specialist caregiver who saw firsthand the gap in quality in-home dementia care for Massachusetts families. What began as one caregiver's mission is now a team of 10+ dedicated dementia care specialists.

2015

We launched our proprietary 80-hour Dementia Caregiver Certification — a rigorous in-house training program built around the real challenges of Alzheimer's and dementia care, going well beyond state licensing requirements.

2017

Our reach grew as more Massachusetts families turned to us for support — extending care into new communities across the Greater Boston area and MetroWest.

2019

We expanded our services to include live-in care, concierge support, and care inside assisted living communities — meeting families wherever they needed us.

2021

We strengthened our care model with around-the-clock clinical support and new tools to keep families better informed and connected to their loved one's care.

2024

We continue to grow — guided by the same values we started with: dignity, consistency, and genuinely personal care for every family we serve.
